Meet Ivan

Ivan has been married to Theresa Carver for 18 years. He has 4 children; Kylee a 2023 graduate from Talawanda that now attends Tennessee Tech, Kelsi & Kadi Juniors, and Karah Ann an 8th grader. He tries to instill the principle of JOY (Jesus first, others second and yourself last). Ivan has led small groups, chaperoned church camps, led groups at Vacation Bible School each summer, participated in service opportunities whether it’s fixing a fellow members appliance, house projects, or praying with someone in need. Ivan and Theresa has also been a licensed foster family for Butler County, Ohio and has been able to open their home up to several sets of siblings in need of placements.

Professionally, Ivan has worked in technology and logistics for 18 years in various leadership roles, currently as a Product Owner. He also has entrepreneurship and investing experience. He has served as a mentor to many employees and has been able to help others develop and set career goals for their future. 

Personally, Ivan enjoys fishing on his pond or going to the lake. Since his children were little, he has also been involved in sports and has spent many nights and weekends on soccer fields, volleyball courts, swimming pool decks, and cross country courses coaching or encouraging the teams. He is also a soccer referee for recreational, club, high school, and college leagues. Ivan loves to travel, though he has not gotten to travel much over the last 5 years, international travel is a special interest. With work, he has visited Malaysia, India, and Mexico and each time he goes he learns so much more about other cultures, people and himself.
